|A unique way to make turnips (or even swede) a main dish.|turnip|780g turnips cubed or use a mix of turnip and swede57g butter2 eggs beaten3 tablespoon flour1 tablespoon packed brown sugar1 tablespoon baking powdersalt and pepperpinch of nutmeg30g breadcrumbs28g butter melted|Butter a medium casserole dish and set aside. Preheat oven to 190 C.Cook the turnip in boiling water until tender. Drain and mash roughly by hand in the pot.Add butter and eggs to the pot and beat well.In a small bowl combine flour sugar baking powder seasoning and nutmeg.Stir into the turnip mixture.Pour the entire mixture into the buttered casserole dish.Mix breadcrumbs and the melted butter together to form a crumble. Sprinkle on top of the turnip mixture.Bake for 25 minutes or until light brown on top.|10.00 minutes|6|Food.com
