|Swede-ish salad|swede|2 swedes peeled and cut into 1.5cm cubes220g bacon chopped into 1.5cm cubes2 tablespoon olive oil1 cup onion chopped0.666667 cup cider vinegar0.666667 cup water2 tablespoon sugar3 tablespoon flour½ teaspoon celery seeds¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper|Boil the swede cubes for approx 12 minutes until cooked. Set aside.Fry the bacon in the olive oil until crisp. Take the bacon out of the oil and set aside.Fry the chopped onion in the oil until soft. Mix together flour sugar salt celery seed and pepper; blend into onion and fat over low heat.Boil one minute.Add vinegar and water to mix well.Pour over swede cubes and stir in bacon.
