|A healthy and quick pasta supper.|purple sprouting broccoli|400g purple sprouting broccoli chopped into 2cm pieces100g bacon sliced thinly400g gnocchi100ml extra virgin olive oil100g pine nuts2 cloves garlic1 lemon zestdash of chilli powder2 pinches of salt and pepper100g pecorino or parmesansprinkle of chopped parsley optional|Bring water to a simmer in a medium pot. Add the gnocchi and purple sprouting broccoli and cook for only 3 minutes. Remove from heat and drain.In a frying pan toast the pine nuts on medium heat without any oil. Once golden remove the nuts to a separate bowl and set aside.In the same frying pan add some olive oil on low to medium heat. Saute the bacon for a few minutes then add chilli and garlic. Put in the blanched sprouting broccoli and gnocchi and quickly toss all together for 30 seconds. Grate in the lemon zest. Taste and add freshly pepper and salt to taste. Pour over a bit of good quality virgin olive oil and serve with the grated cheese. Add a bit of chopped parsley to garnish if you like|10.00 minutes|2|
